A brief introduction
We're a friendly, successful, local club running a couple of teams in the Surrey League. We cater for players of different standards, from improving beginners to seasoned players and encourage all attending to join the teams and get the most out of effort it takes to build and work as a team.
The club has been around for several decades playing at various locations around the county as halls and times change. It still remains a friendly and social environment but with a good focus on training and improving to stretch capabilities and get the most out of players.
In a nutshell
- MVVC is a full member of the Surrey Volleyball Association (SVA)
- Represented in the local league competitions (SVA) with two men's teams.
- First team normally make it to the SEVA tournament - end of season one day tournament with the winners from the local counties coming together to play off.
- Full training sessions including both teams on Thursday evenings
- Matches during the season can happen on Thursday evenings for home and potentially any day of the week for the away fixtures.
- Social events as and when we can get them origanised.
Clothing
- Team kit for matches is required and the club does organise group purchases as they have to match up on court. Players are required to purchase their own shirt from the club which can be sold back if you leave.
